Just finished my 10 year college reunion at Vanderbilt University. In the face of passing time, I felt relief and a sense of peacefulness knowing that our work has only begun, that a good book will be born on its own terms, and that we must strike a delicate balance between sacrificing time and pleasure to our art while retaining a hunger for the great little moments of life that make your art worth reading.

And so now, finally working with an agent with vision, I’m diving back into DISTRICT OF CAMELOT again in the airport, in Nashville, where the thought of writing, real writing, first ever crossed my mind. 20141012-145125-53485264.jpg
