Alison Bechdel’s FUN HOME is one of our Must Reads. She was assigned to me in a grad school course on 21st Century American Literature, and the intersection of graphic narrative, Proust, sexual identity, and intertextuality made it a complex, pleasurable read. Now that FUN HOME has seen a brief run on Broadway, Alison Bechdel provided her thoughts about the play in her typical graphic fashion, by writing a small visual account of her own experience in hearing about the play, seeing it, and waiting for the NY Times review:
