Thx to Harry Penders for this stunning picture of Mount Saint Helens, an active volcano visible from downtown Portland, Oregon. Admittedly not literary, except to serve as a memento mori, to take a moment and appreciate natural beauty whenever you can, knowing that we all live Under the Volcano, so to speak.
