If You’re Ever In Key West
There are so many great things to see and do in Key West. Hemingway’s bearded presence still dominates most of the nightlife and many bars sell t-shirts with his face and wisdom. On this particular night we chose Sloppy Joes because there was an old burnt out three piece band named “Bongs For Geezers” playing on stage. And here are a few pics:

Nice trip through Key West. Looks great.
I’d go to the Green Parrot, if I were you. Fewer tourists. Meet the locals, some of them face down on the bar.
Looks like a grand old time, and much warmer than where we are!
Love the Keys! I haven’t been to Sloppy Joes in ages but glad you had a great time.
Did you visit Hemingway’s house with it’s six-toed cats? When I was there, the house still contained the real artwork. I couldn’t believe I was left alone in a room with a Picasso ceramic within reach. Granted, it was too big to stuff under my T-shirt, but it could have easily been jarred from its perch and broken. I understand that now the artwork is all reproductions. It’s a cool place.
We love the Hemingway house! It was closed during this trip since we only had a night, but Key West is such a magical place for all lovers of the literary life. . .
And warm, too!
