Handdrawn Map of Kerouac’s Travels
Saw this on the City Lights Bookstore FB page today. Jealous of old Jack and the freedom to just pick up and haul-ass Out West. Then again: it’s never too late for an impulsive roadtrip.
Kerouac’s got just the right amount of hipster in him.

Roadtrips, holidays, the urge to have an adventure…perhaps it’s a midlife crisis!
Crisis – a stage in a sequence of events at which the trend of all future events, especially for better or for worse, is determined; turning point.
Origin:
1375–1425; late Middle English < Latin < Greek krísis decision, equivalent to kri- variant stem of krī́nein to decide, separate, judge + -sis -sis….Would that we all reached a turning point and made a decision! ~dpbowman
Reblogged this on The Josh Mahler Reader and commented:
Hit the road Jack Kerouac lovers…I followed a similar route, a buddy and I, back in 2003.
