Leslie Marmon Silko b. 1948

The books of Leslie Marmon Silko, most notably CEREMONY and ALMANAC OF THE DEAD, are haunting works of fiction. The Literary Man would even go so far as to call CEREMONY a “phantasmagorical tour de force.” No reason for the timeliness of this little shout out besides the ongoing desire to promote our favorite authors, at all times, for no real reason other than to ensure that the best survive, get the readership they deserve, and allow the rest of us, the readers, to be changed because of their power. Leslie Marmon Silko is one of those writers we would write about every day if we could. Read her!
