We have upped our Edith Wharton knowledge by reading her novels, stopped in at the Starbucks on 23rd Street that now occupies her childhood home, and have read the controversial piece on Ms. Wharton written by Jonathan Franzen in the New Yorker. Sure, we know about her, but do we really KNOW her? Do we understand who she was as a person? Now we will have the opportunity to take a closer look.

From March 15, 2012 through December 31, 2012 lucky persons who live in or visit New York will have the unique opportunity to see the exhibition Edith Wharton: A Backward Glance. The exhibit, located at the New York Social Library on East 79th Street, will highlight photographs from family collections and favorite childhood books of the late Ms. Wharton. We’re looking forward to visiting this historic library to learn more about this talented Literary Lady.
