Jeanne Leiby, Editor-in-Chief, of the Southern Review died in a car crash in Baton Louge, Louisiana Tuesday April 19th. She was forty-six years old.

It was first reported by a local ABC affiliate, who reported that “Leiby. . .was not restrained at the time of the crash, was ejected from her vehicle.” Leiby had edited the Southern Review for the past three years. Her fiction had appeared in the following notable publications: Fiction, Indiana Review, New Orleans Review, Chattahoochee Review, Seattle Review, Witness, Alaska Quarterly Review.
